Disjunct
A disjunct is an adverb that breaks up the flow of the sentence or clause it’s in, like in this famous quote from the movie Gone With The Wind:
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
The adverb ‘frankly’ is a disjunct adverb because it breaks up the flow of the sentence. Think of the ‘dis’ in disjunctive as being from ‘disrupt’ - the adverb disrupts the flow of the sentence.
