Sources of information

When you’re reading both sides of an argument, it may be entertaining to read some of the stuff written by fanatical supporters of one side. However, as far as writing your essay is concerned, you’re much better reading quality material about your issue, rather than just any garbage. The extremist stuff is not really useful to justifying your cause, although it can be used as an example of how passionately people feel about the issue (take any of the ‘highly controversial’ issues listed earlier). And of course, make sure you reference all your sources properly, in whatever way you’re asked to.
