Inflection
It took me a while to learn what inflection actually is - and then I realised I’d been doing it anyway, I just hadn’t learnt the exact term for it. In the context of an oral presentation, inflection is all about varying the pitch or tone of your voice. If you didn’t use any inflection in your presentation, then you’d be speaking in a boring, monotone voice (mono = one). Appropriate inflection on certain words in your oral can help communicate emotions or your attitudes to what you’re talking about.
