Practice runs

So you’ve got it all done; time now to do a practice presentation. The first few times you practice you can do it by yourself, but you’ll need some way of working out what you look and sound like. A mirror is a traditional way of doing this, with the disadvantage that while you are watching yourself in the mirror you aren’t practicing moving your eyes around the audience. A really good way of practicing by yourself is if you can either tape or, ideally, video yourself. That way, you can play it back and concentrate 100% on analysing what you’re doing, rather than trying to do it at the same time as you give the practice presentation.
