Consonance
This happens when a poet repeats a sequence of consonants (non-vowel letters) but changes the vowel in the middle of the sequence; for instance, a wonderful example of this is ‘pitter patter’ - the ‘i’ is changed to an ‘a’ but the rest of the word remains the same in the repetition.
