Using gendered pronouns

You can use gendered pronouns when you know the sex of the specific person or thing the sentence is talking.

Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon - he is well known by many people.

In fact, there’s no real way you can use a gender neutral pronoun in this sentence, because there is no singular, third person, gender neutral pronoun.
