Reflexive pronouns

A reflexive pronoun is used when you already have the subject in a sentence, but want to refer to it again. Take this sentence for example:

Great sportspeople always have immense faith in themselves.

The subject of the sentence is ‘sportspeople’. But we’ve also got the reflexive pronoun ‘themselves’ that represents these sportspeople at the end of the sentence.
