Indicative mood

This is by far the most common mood that you’ll come across when looking at verbs. It is a fairly matter of fact mood - when you’re simply talking about things or asking questions this is usually the mood that any verbs you use will be in. Here are a few sentences where the verb shown in bold font is in the indicative mood:

Mat hit the ball.

I like cheese.

Can you reach the window?
