Addition
Sometimes you want to build on the ideas in a previous sentence or add some extra information. You can do this neatly using an addition style transition.
Furthermore, I would like to get my meal refunded.
In addition, the pork you served me was uncooked.
Moreover, your waiter was very rude to me.
Again, I don’t wish to be a bother but what do you expect?
Sometimes words can be used for more than one type of transition - the word ‘similarly’ can be used as an addition style transition or a comparison style transition.
